PESTOLA 2016January 22 - 24, 2016
Please join us January 22nd to the 24th in Fort Worth, Texas for PESTOLA 2016, which is fast approaching. The meeting agenda features a variety of topics ranging from advances in diabetes including the artificial pancreas to the management of endocrine cancers. The agenda will feature guest speakers Dr. Andrew Bauer from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia & Dr. David Maahs from the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in Denver, Colorado. PESTOLA 2016 will provide 8.5 hours of CME credit including 1 hour of ethics credit.
The program will commence with an Open Bar welcome reception on Friday, January 22nd from 6 PM – 8 PM at the Hilton Downtown Fort Worth.
The educational portion of the meeting will include a full day starting at 8 AM on Saturday, January 23rd in the Hochberger auditorium at Cook Children’s main campus followed by a dinner reception that evening at the Hilton Downtown Fort Worth.
The meeting will adjourn after a half-day on Sunday, January 24th, and a board of officers for future PESTOLA meetings will be elected on this day.

HOTEL AND LODGING
A block of rooms has been reserved for the PESTOLA 2016 conference at the Hilton Fort Worth located at 815 Main St. To make a reservation, call 817-870-2100 or 800-HILTONS or visit their webpage.
Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, using reservation code: COOKS to receive the discounted rate of $169 per night plus tax for single or double occupancy.
Check-in time is 3 p.m., and check-out time is noon. Luggage storage is available. Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance of arrival to avoid penalty. Valet parking is $15 for day parking and $25 for overnight guests, plus tax per day. Transportation to/from Cook Children’s Medical Center will be available.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Trainees – fellows, medical students, residents, nursing students, etc. are encouraged to submit abstracts for consideration for either oral or poster presentations. The top submission in each of the three following categories will receive special recognition and be invited to present his/her work orally.
1) original research
2) quality improvement
3) case presentation
A poster session will be held immediately following the oral presentations.
